May is here, and with it comes the long-awaited drop of autumn rain. It’s a refreshing start to celebrate Mother’s Day along with the regional farm festival. Here are a few highlighted events for us to explore.

All Mums are awesome, there are many gift and service ideas to pamper them with for Mother’s Day from the local artisans and farmers market near us.

Make sure you pick up some tickets in their raffle with 4 amazing prizes of vouchers, products from stall holders and some of Freoโ€™s best including Emily Taylor Fremantle, WA Museum, Djurra Aveda and The Neighbourhood Sauna.
Money raised will be going to the Nectar for Women Fund at Freo Foundation. $5 each or 3 for $10!
On Mothers Day we will have a free Photobooth, loads of Therapists to give Mum a Sunday morning massage, flowers stalls, huge range of quality foodies, live music, artisans, produce, picnic area and the circus fun with Little Treasures Hoopla Caravan โ€ฆ love Freo, Love Mum!

Market for Mum’s for Mothers Day. Bring the whole family down for brekkie, all our fresh produce stalls will be here, and we will have a huge range of market stalls for mum, from chocolates, jams, cakes and slices, candles, jewellery, Gin, and so many more giftware stalls.

โ˜•๏ธ Start the morning off with a delicious brew from Black Velvet & Honey. Kristin is bringing a yummy selection of baked goods, piping hot drinks, icy cold drinks, along with alternative milk options to cater for everyone.
๐Ÿ”Arrive with empty bellies and leave rolling down the hills after The Charcoal Project has filled you full of the good stuff. Jayde and the crew do mouth watering burgers, loaded chips & Nachoโ€™s, southern fried chicken and lip smacking loaded fries.
๐ŸฆMaxs Cold Ice Creations will be here and everyone loves a Ice Cream. Max has Rocket Ships, sherbet dipped and chocolate covered everything!
๐ŸŠOur shop will be full of Fresh Seasonal Farm Produce including our Mixed Fruit & Veg boxes so you can take home a box full of goodies to start the week.
In season at the moment are New Season Apples, Persimmon, Nashi Pears, Pears and a huge range of locally grown vegetables.
๐Ÿฅš We also stock Free Range Eggs, Raw Honey & Organic Oats.
We welcome along a few beautiful ladies with their stalls to make the day special โฌ‡๏ธ

This year the event expands to three days across 20 different venues, with more opportunities to enjoy the finest wine, cider, spirits, produce, food, scenery and attractions of the breathtaking Bickley Valley region, just 35 minutes from Perth. It is a festival whereby you choose your own adventure and plan ahead which venues you want to visit for your experience. Each venue caters for a different audience and some will require that you book ahead, while others will cater for those who just want to pop in for a tasting, bite to eat, see the open studio or just soak in the amazing scenery of Perth Hills orchards and vineyards
